After a long chatty lunch in town, we were fuelled up and ready for a wander round the shops.  We headed to one of our Dundee favourites, Lush, to see what new and old favourites were in store.  We were immediately greeted by friendly staff and when we asked if we could take a few photos for the blog we were also offered a tour and some samples.

Lush is our favourite high street place for natural, vegan and environmentally friendly bath, shower and cosmetic products.  After a fantastic tour and the chance to try and smell lots of products, we were also given a few samples to take away and try at home.  Jilly got to take away a 'Jason And the Argan Oil' shampoo bar, she had been wanting to try one for ages but was waiting for her current shampoo to run out. After switching over for a few weeks Jilly says she has been converted and loves that this shampoo bar smells just like Rose Jam!

Already a user of the shampoo bars I opted to try some hand soap, I have recently stopped using hand pump soaps after reading about their environmental impact and was delighted to try something new.   Karma, has a delicious fresh scent and has left my hands and bathroom smelling amazing, I was able to cut my chunk at home to fit into our little soap dishes.

We were both given a selection of toothy tab samples to try, you pop theses in your mouth and as they dissolve you start brushing as you would with a paste.  These take a wee while to get used to but are perfect for if your travelling and the use of sustainable and reusable packaging means they have a hugely reduced environmental impact than other toothpastes.

Not only were we given a fantastic tour with explanations of the vegan products and sustainable packaging but my little vegan was given star treatment.  She got the chance to see the baby bath bombs in the Lush sinks and touch and feel different products in water- she loved it! Including a little one in the shopping experience made it so much more relaxing for me and entertaining for her.

As expected, it was a fantastic visit to Lush.  The staff are amazing and the products speak for themselves.  If you're planning a visit then this weekend (21st-22nd July) is a fab time to go as Lush are having a Pride Party with 100% of profits from their lovely Charity Pots going to Dundee Pride and there's fun stuff like bath bomb making workshops and face painting happening too!
